With the New Marlins Ballpark well on its way, the Club has taken an active approach in creating an environmentally friendly consciousness in the Little Havana area.  The Green House project embodies the Marlins’ active approach in the community in that team plans to convert an existing residence into an environmentally friendly home by improving energy efficiency, water conservation, utilizing low VOC materials.

Over the next two Saturdays, Club volunteers will rehab a family home in Little Havana.  The Morales family was selected based on financial need and referred by Abriendo Puertas 501(c)3.  Help the Club make a difference in the lives of the Morales family.   Join them and V on Saturday, January 30, 2010,  and Saturday, February 6, 2010 from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M to renovate the Morales home.  And don’t forget to join us on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 10am for the media day!

The green renovation will take place at 775 NW 17 Court, Miami, FL 33125.
